Malaria

The paludism: 1st parasitical worldwide endemic disease – 1 death about every 15 seconds. It is the first reason of mortality by parasitical illness in the world. Most of these deaths occur in Africa but Europe encounters also paludism (“importation paludism”). In France, each year, 5 000 travellers come back home with paludism and among them, 20 will die. A reliable and quick diagnosis is necessary to prevent serious complications and chronic forms linked to this illness.
