Influenza

Flu is a contagious respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Among the 3 types of Myxovirus influenzae responsible for flu, A and B types are the most frequent and the most pathogenic. They are associated with epidemics and pandemics.
